The French who went to the pump these last few days have had a bad surprise. The price of road fuels sold in service stations in France have come to leave frankly to the upside last week after weeks of falls, according to official figures published on Monday.

The price of diesel, fuel, the most sold, was worth 1,1768 euro per litre, an increase of 1.90 cent compared to the previous week, according to data from the ministry of the ecological Transition, and solidarity. He had previously fallen for twelve consecutive weeks, in the wake of the oil price collapsed with the health crisis. Petrol super unleaded 95 is, for its part, sold to 1,2684 euro, an increase of 2.42 cents. As for the SP95-E10, which contains up to 10% ethanol, it won 2,59 cents, to 1,2486 euro. Finally, the SP98 was sold 1,3224 euro 2.23 cents more.

The price of oil at its lowest in the last month

The price of fuel at the pump vary as a function of several parameters such as the price of a barrel of oil, the exchange rate euro-dollar, the level of stocks of petroleum products and demand, as well as taxes. The price of oil collapsed with the pandemic Covid-19, which causes a fall in demand with the slowdown in economic activity, especially in transport. They are, however, somewhat revived recently, in a climate more optimistic, buoyed by the effective decline of the offer and the hopes of a recovery in demand for black gold.
