The head of the Executive has begun to prepare for the 23J campaign in which he aspires to be re-elected by warning his parliamentary groups during a meeting in Congress with the PSOE deputies and parliamentarians, whom he has asked to “give up the battle” against the right and the extreme right that “is emboldened and has no shame” in “going back”.
Sánchez predicts that stormy times are coming until 23J and from the right they will be accused of “pucherazo” in the next general elections, he assures. He has compared PP and Vox to “Trumpism” and has warned them that “barbaric things” will be said about them from the media because “the right has a position of dominance in the big media.”
In addition to challenging the PP and Vox to explain “what it is to repeal sanchismo”, he has accused them of being the extreme right and the extreme right, contrasting the social democratic policies of the PSOE with the “tandem of extreme right-wings that copy the proven methods of Washington, Budapest or Brazil”, referring without expressly naming them to the strategies of Donald Trump, Orbán or Bolsonaro.
He predicts that until the 23J elections “the storm is going to be tremendous” because they have already had an “appetizer” of “insults and dirt” in the campaign on May 28. In his opinion, from the right, some will speak of “pouch” and others will want to arrest him as responsible for that pot. “It’s not new, your North American teachers launched a maddened mob against the Capitol to denounce a false pottery,” he recalled, equating the PP and Vox with Trumpism.
Sánchez has not hesitated to affirm that these two parties will try to “twitch to unsuspected limits” so that the arguments of the PSOE are not heard: “An even more ferocious campaign of insults and disqualifications is going to be unleashed”, Sánchez said today during the meeting with those who have been deputies and senators of the Legislature that is ending now.
He has also referred to the direct consequences of the electoral debacle for the PSOE presidents and mayors who will now be deposed: “Magnificent regional presidents and mayors are going to be displaced despite the fact that many of them have seen increased electoral support”
Sánchez has described the explanations that have been given to the reasons for this decision as speculation: “I made the decision with my conscience”, he specified in this regard, thinking “of his colleagues who have worked and have lived in this Legislature “. “No leader who deserves to be can look the other way when his own suffer such an undeserved and unfair punishment”, he has added. He assures that his decision to dissolve the Cortes occurred after verifying last Sunday night the “serious institutional setback” suffered by the PSOE.
Sánchez has admitted that, as is normal, he likes to win and “it hurts to lose”. “It would be missing more”, he has exclaimed her. “I have to confess that when losing hurts me the most is when the immediate consequences fall on the people I love,” she has confessed. For this reason, he assures him, he has taken a step forward saying that it was not difficult for him to understand what he should do and assumes the results of Sunday without hiding because, he has alleged, he has never done it.
After this first consequence of 28M, Sánchez assures that the second will be that in all the institutions where the PSOE governed, the PP and VOX will now do so, which has described them as “extreme right and extreme right”. And they will do it, he has said, with a program that is based only on “repealing sanchismo.”
“That they explain it,” he snapped, asking them if this translates into “repealing issues such as the rise in the SMI, the minimum vital income, the Housing Law or the increase in pensions.” For this reason, he says, he summons the citizens to the polls, to “clarify things” and the “infallible method” for the Democrats is the elections.
