While many French people suffering from hearing loss do not have access to hearing aids for lack of means – a phenomenon reinforced by the period of inflation – Unisson has wanted for several years to provide a solution to this social problem, by proposing its patients hearing aids from major brands at a lower cost.

Founded in 2006 by three expert audioprosthetists, Julien Croc, Julien Pers, and Sébastien Pradel, Unisson currently offers more than 1,000 hearing aids from the biggest brands in the sector. Signia, Phonak, Widex, ReSound or even Oticon: hearing aids are accessible, on average, at -40% than in competing hearing centers.

“Hearing aids make it possible to restore real comfort of life to people who may be affected by this hearing loss in their everyday life, whether in restaurants with friends, in noisy places, or, for example, to follow a meeting. You should know that this hearing problem affects all people from the age of fifty and can really impact their social interactions,” says Sébastien Pradel.

In addition to offering the cheapest prices on the market, Unisson wishes to provide its patients with tailor-made and fully personalized technical support by state-certified audioprosthetists.

The hearing specialist welcomes his many patients from Monday to Saturday in his 300 square meter center located in the heart of the capital, at 61 rue de l’Arcade, very close to Gare Saint-Lazare (entrance place Gabriel Peri). Each client will be able to be advised and directed to a quality hearing solution, adapted to their needs.

If entry-level devices are quite effective for watching television or talking with another person in a quiet environment, they quickly become limited and useless when the person finds themselves in a noisy environment.

The objective of the Unisson hearing center is therefore to offer a selection of top-of-the-range devices that can provide patients with real comfort in all situations of everyday life. The purchase and equipment of this type of device is an extremely profitable long-term investment, with all the settings included and follow-up appointments.

“Scientific studies conducted by the medical profession have shown that uncompensated hearing loss can promote and accelerate a person’s cognitive decline, with the premature onset of certain neurodegenerative diseases. According to the public authorities, a full reimbursement of all hearing aids would cost less than taking care of elderly people who are increasingly sedentary because of their untreated hearing problem,” says Sébastien Pradel.

Over the years, hearing aids have seen significant improvements, especially in terms of discretion. Patients can get completely invisible hearing aids, or miniaturized behind-the-ear hearing aids that go almost unnoticed.

Each user can now take advantage of the rechargeable functionality present more and more on the latest models, but also take advantage of the integrated telephone functionality to receive calls directly in their devices thanks to the Bluetooth connection.

Finally, most of the latest generations of hearing aids can be fully adjusted remotely. The patient can indeed contact a Unisson audioprosthetist located in Paris who can then take control of the hearing aids via the wearer’s phone to make adjustments and improvements. If necessary, the person will be able to adjust their devices directly from their home or vacation spot in a few minutes, and without having to travel to the center.
