the Film has in a very fascinating way has been adopted by both right-wing extremists like libertarians and socialists. Everyone seems to be able to read in support of his private belief in it. The film’s most famous scene, where the main character Neo is given a choice between a red (see the world behind the virtual reality he believes is true), and a blue (remain in the illusion) pills, for instance, has become a standing expression in the incelkretsar. Where is interpreted the red pill to open your eyes and realize that feminism taking away from men the innate right to be and that all women are whores, the blue one that to continue to live in ignorance. At the same time, it is possible – and reasonable, not least in view of the noted mathematician gösta sisters Wachowskis own lives – to read the film as an allegory about the transerfarenheten, the matrix that the enslaving system of normative gender roles and Neos awakening as a journey towards a truer self. I had been working with to formulate the kind of pseudo-scientific personality tests that companies subject their employees to so had the first question been ”How to interpret The matrix?”. Ago I had shared into each of the four colors as the basis for tillitsövningar on heldagskonferensen. Red – antikapitalist. Blue – gamergater. Neon green – habil programmers. The shiny black color of the fuskläder – bdsm-practitioners, and/or in love with Carrie-Anne Moss.

This line is uttered only a few minutes into the movie. Carrie-Anne Moss’s character has just beaten out by a gravity-defying escape from a bunch of agents across the rooftops and dived through a tiny window into a stairwell where she was nimble as a gazelle rolled across the floor and pulled her gun. But so freezing her to the ice, seemingly unable to move. It is here that she silently tells himself to get up, twice, a close up and a pause of a few seconds, in a fast cut actionflöde. The short break makes the whole scene, turns immediately to the Trinity from non-template to someone to identify with. In addition, the are few things as useful in everyday life, which to every now and then quietly whisper ”get up, Trinity” to himself.

But they are actually (if not sinnesutvidgande masterpiece that one) is not so crazy. And with the almost seven minute long scene – perhaps the most utskällda and ridiculed in the modern history of film – where a giant futuristic rave party korsklipps with sexual intercourse in ”The matrix reloaded”, is underestimated. Especially if you see it as a prototype for the even more understated Wachowskisystrar-tv-series ”Sense8”.

in 1999, when most of us still had the pixliga the fonts from the computer terminals in the technological childhood of memory, was the bildskärmsgröna the characters and numbers that rains gently over the black background in the opening sequence of ”The matrix” amazing futuristic cool (even if they lost a bit of its mystery when the film’s produktionsdesigner later revealed that they consisted of sushirecept). Today, however, are the graphics the only thing that doesn’t really keep in the film (except possibly the phone boxes, the only thing that has been aged almost as fast as visualizations of the ”internet”).

unfortunately I can not explain the mechanisms here, more than that it is a law of nature. The same thing also applies to the film ”Inception”, the tv series ”Breaking bad” and the novels ”Tärningsspelaren” and ”Dumskallarnas conspiracy”.
