It was in september 1995 as an eight year old girl was on the way home from school when she is mugged by a man. The man pulled the girl in a wood, and subjecting her to rough the rape and ill-treatment. The girl was later found, bloody and without his pants at a bus stop.

The suspected offender is 58 years old and lives at an address in the west of Sweden.

On February 28, he could be arrested in hawaii and brought to the police headquarters in Gothenburg. The man is now requested in custody suspected of rape committed 24 years ago. And it was in the nick of time. The next year, had the offence is time-barred.

Thomas Ahlstrand is very satisfied with the amendment that made the arrest. He says that they currently only know of one other similar case, where the offender has been arrested after so many years.
