Juan Francisco Fernández is a cyclist through and through. The 18-Year-old is currently the U-23 riders, has not had an easy Start to his racing career. Already in 2017, fell ill of the Spaniards for the first Time in leukemia. In 2017 and 2018, he fell, had to have chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, undergo. Nevertheless, he did not get from the Esteve-Chozas-Team a contract, even though you knew exactly how fit he is. In 2019, he wanted to attack and signed a new contract to 2020 with the Team. But then, the renewed setback: the leukemia was back.
Fernandez needs back treatments. But that does not stop him from further training. His Team has published on Twitter a Video that shows Fernández, as it occurs in the hospital, hard in the pedals, while it is connected to medical devices. Fernández demonstrates that he is a fighter who never gives up.
The Video, the Esteve-Chozas-Team wrote: “If cyclists are in for something known, then it is her great force of will, and that you make great sacrifices on the wheel . Today, our U-23 rider Juan Francisco Fernandez shows us once again that he is exceptional. We can just say it louder, but not clearer, congratulations! #Fuck cancer”
