across Denmark are children, parents and grandparents, among others, have gone on the streets to demand a cap on how many children, there must be per adult in the country’s nurseries and kindergartens.
– We are not here for fun. We are here, because now it’s enough. It is the way we as parents can support the pressure on the educators – which has for years been clamouring about for bad normeringer. And in reality support our children well. For it is them, it goes beyond, say, Eva Dahl, who have appeared for the day’s biggest demonstration in Copenhagen, which is one of 59 sites in the day said ‘enough is enough’ about the situation in the country’s day-care centres.
Here she stands in the crowd along with her daughter Hilde and her friend Sara Cramer, who has taken his three children Albert, Bertil and Carl.
– We have arranged our society in a way where we in many hours of the day are not with our children – and in those hours, we can’t be there, we must fight for, that they still have it good and safe, says Sara Cramer, who stresses that she and her children are lucky because they are in a cosy little corner of an institution’, where normeringerne is good.
– But what we see is a trend where smaller institutions will come together in greater, because you can save money on the way. Where children are herded together, while there are longer between the teachers ‘ stuff. So we feel a responsibility to back up all the teachers and children, it goes above and beyond, she says, and is interrupted by her friend Eva Dahl:
– We always say that children are our future – and it is! But why do we not have something better on them?
the Majority of the attendees parents, Ekstra issued talking with for the demonstration at Christiansborg palace in Copenhagen, mentions that the teachers have tried to shout the politicians up, but that is not being listened to – and that is why it is now the parents ‘ turn to take responsibility.
It is the really happy in the teachers ‘ union BUPL.
– We have long spoken up about the need for, that we get minimumsnormeringer, so it is strong that parents are now coming on the pitch, says Elisa Rimpler, president of BUPL, to Ritzau.
According to the union, the number of children aged zero to five years increase to 70,000 over the next ten years.
in Addition, today approximately 4000 educators in the country’s day-care centres compared with normeringerne in 2009, points out, BUPL to Ritzau.
