David Lappartient, president of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) since June 2023, presented his wishes to the sporting world on Tuesday. The opportunity to speak with Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, Minister of National Education, Youth, Sports and the Olympic Games, whom he defended in an interview with L’Equipe.
“There may have been some blunders but nothing justifies such aggressiveness towards the minister,” proclaims David Lappartient in reaction to the numerous controversies surrounding “AOC” since the expansion of his ministry, most of them linked to the schooling of his children in the private Stanislas establishment.
To the question of adding a possible Secretary of State for Sports to “support” the minister, the president of the CNOSF admits to being “a supporter of a fairly small number of ministers for effective action”. believing that a “super-ministry” does not “seem an incongruity”. “In all the relationships I had with her, I saw a minister who knew her files, who was efficient, who moved forward and with whom it was rather a pleasure to work,” continues David Lappartient. Afterwards, we are a bit like altar boys next to National Education and the National Education unions. It’s not the same world.”
