Tested positive (growth hormone) in July during training with Biarritz, Rhys Webb, the new Welsh scrum half of the BO, had been provisionally suspended by the French Anti-Doping Agency. He has since been waiting for the second opinion.
According to L’Équipe, the second opinion confirmed the presence of growth hormone in his blood. Rhys Webb (34 years old, 40 caps) who did not benefit from authorization for therapeutic use will be summoned before the sanctions committee of the French Anti-Doping Agency. The Welshman faces up to four years of suspension.
