Up to the general election says the country’s politicians are like, what they have done and what they will do – in the field of health.
However, the bottom line has health care for a number of years been underfunded by billions of dollars. It shows a note prepared by Kjeld Møller Pedersen, professor of health economics at the University of Southern denmark.
It writes Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten.
Kjeld Møller Pedersen has identified how the costs of hospitals, specialists and general practitioners has developed in the period 2007-2018, and compared them with how much money the area should have been added in order to cover the demographic development, development of sygehusmedicin as well as new therapies.
– It is clear that the area has been underfunded by an average of more than 1 billion. kr. annually, he says to Jyllands-Posten.
Since 2010, the average annual growth has been around 1 per cent., however, according to Kjeld Møller Pedersen’s calculations it should have been between 1.6 and 2.2 per cent.
– So the doctors and nurses who have spoken up about the financial strain in the health service, has a point, he says, and stresses that the under-funding, for example, reflected in the ‘extra bustle for the staff, less time for each patient and the level of service in general.’

Jakob Kjellberg, professor of health economics at the Vive – national research and analysis centre for welfare and health – have reviewed the numbers and also come forward to, that there should have been injected into the health service ‘around 2 per cent. annually to cover the demographics and new treatments’.
– This has not happened. There is not given to a development of the health care system, he says.
health Minister Ellen Trane Nørby (V) holds in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, the government has given priority to health:
– We have since the 2015 general priority health, so there are more than 6 billion. kr. extra in 2019.
– It can be felt, but we are not in the goal, and therefore we come to each and every year in the future to prioritize more money for health care and to ensuring better treatment for patients and better conditions for the employees.
